Home Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation

The success of neurological rehabilitation depends on the patient's ability to continue the given movements in his own living space.

It has been determined that rehabilitation at home accelerates the adaptation of the patient to social life.

Home care is the provision of health and social needs of the person in his/her own environment, through family members or non-family members.

of persons; The need for health services and social services increases depending on the disability, recovery period, illness that restricts movement and compels bed care, or inability to take care of themselves only due to advanced age. Therefore, the importance of home physiotherapy and rehabilitation is better understood.

It is given for reasons such as providing care at home, in his own environment, and preserving his physical abilities, instead of long-term hospitalization. Thus, the person can return to his/her normal life by getting the treatment he/she needs in his/her home, where he/she feels more comfortable and safe.

The purpose of home physiotherapy and rehabilitation services; It is to prevent the loss of normal joint range of motion and muscle strength that may occur due to inactivity, to ensure that the healing process progresses more efficiently and to ensure that the person returns to his/her daily life in the most correct way, free from restrictions.

Services can be provided mainly to people who need palliative care, are bedridden, cannot go out of the house or have difficulty in going out, and are cared for at home with the support of professional health workers. As an example, the approaches to diseases that we can offer physiotherapy and rehabilitation services at home are as follows:

  • To reduce the pain of people who have undergone surgery on their feet, ankles, knees, hips, waist, back, neck and have difficulty in walking and have pain, and to enable them to walk again,

  • To regain the normal movements of people who have had a stroke, partial or complete paralysis and to increase their mobility,

  • To prevent joint limitations that may occur by maintaining normal joint movements of bedridden people in the bed,

  • Respiratory physiotherapy applications for diseases that weaken respiratory functions,

  • Treatments to increase physical endurance for people with heart conditions,

  • Strengthening and balance-coordination training are given for loss of muscle strength, balance and coordination, which are generally seen in advanced ages with reduced mobility.
