Knee Calcification

In adults  the most common cause of knee pain is osteoarthritis, that is, gonarthrosis (calcification), which is caused by the wear of the knee joint. In this disease, a wear table occurs in all elements (especially meniscus and cartilage) in the knee. This disease can occur as a result of injury to the articular cartilage after trauma, or it can occur spontaneously with age or as a result of rheumatic diseases.

Living with a worn knee joint is both painful and uncomfortable. Regardless of your age, your social life can be limited and these problems may increase with age.

Symptoms

The most important symptom is pain. Pain, which is relieved by using the joint before and resting, may become permanent as the disease progresses. Swelling, bone protrusions and deformities occur in the joints. Cracking sounds can be heard as a result of the rubbing of the bone surfaces against each other. The range of motion of the joints decreases and loss of function in the involved joint  occurs.
